Mexico: Day 5

I went scuba diving today.

We got up early this morning to go to the marina terminal and waited there for a little over half an hour. The boat ride was really bad, because I felt sick not long in to the ride but didn't barf. Another guy did, though, really loudly and grossly and violently. Made me feel worse. But after a while I realized that it was the combined smell of sunscreen and the slow swaying that made me feel bad, so I got a lime and started licking it. Helped a lot. I'm sure it would have been better with a lemon, or any citrus.
Sunscreen and floral scents make me feel sick.


During the boat ride, my mom signed herself and I up for diving, but my sister was too scared to go. When we got all our gear on, though, I had second thoughts... But I couldn't go back up. It was really weird to go underwater and be able to breathe, but it was pretty fun. My mom ended up going back to the boat because she started feeing sick, so it was just the teacher guy and I. Going down was fun, but at some point, I couldn't equalize the pressure in my ears properly so I just stayed at a slightly higher level and everything was fixed. Yay!

That guy in the middle is the teacher person. 

My mom ended up barfing too, after her birdwatching tour while I was diving. Gross. I was exhausted so I slept part of the way back. When I woke up, people were dancing and stuff and there was a scavenger hunt game where five women dressed up five guys as girls. There was one guy from Seattle who borrowed my flip flops.

Then we stayed in our room for a while until we went out for dinner at some brazillian restaurant. It was god, but mosquitoes kept biting me under the table. I hate bug bites... I have a lot on my feet right now. I hate the thought of bugs on me, eating my DNA. Eehhhh.
