But it's true. Desires to obtain objects make us do unforgivable things. People who want money will steal or kill for it. Desire to obtain knowledge drives everyone crazy.
Say that I want to know who someone likes. I will continue to bother them until they tell me, but they won't tell me. It will make everyone annoyed and tired, me and the other person.
Mental illnesses can also derive from desires. OCD is the desire to have something or everything to be a certain and specific way. The desire is so strong that the OCD-er will become increasingly bothered if it is not they way they think it should be.
