Love.

It's a small word that people use often these days. "An intense feeling of deep affection". But it's more than that. And it's more than what people think it is.
The young people of this world (*hem*America *hem*) use it so often. They think it's a feeling that can be used for any situation. Like it's something to throw around at people. I commonly hear girls in my school say how much they "love" each other, Couples that have been dating for barely a week already say "I love you" to each other. People who like some one say that they "love" that person.
What I think of love is that it is an intense feeling. But it is also a difficult feeling. "Real" love is forever. The love that people commonly think of is something that can be given, then taken away. This "love" that they talk about is actually just attraction. If someone actually loves somebody, they would not be cheating on them, or push them around.
Some people, however, are incapable of "real" love. That, or they only have one person that they are compatible with. Abusive households have never had "real" love.
I think that when people say that their heart "has been broken", I think it means that their feelings of attraction have been rejected by the target of attraction.
EDIT: Well.. Love for your friends is different... I guess... affection, but not necessarily attraction.
This is such a controversial topic... you can comment with any opposing ideas if you want.
I have no hopes of ever finding "real" love...
I've been so tired lately.
