Madeline*

*Of course, this is not her real name.

Madeline is a dear friend of mine. I've known her for (over?) ten years and she is a wonderfully intelligent person.
However, she can be a but nosy. And a but self-conscious. From what I've observed, she is worried about what others think of her.
She doesn't like anyone thinking about her negatively, and often asks questions like "Am I too ___?"
And I say no. Because it is the truth.
She is intelligent and has a good way with words.
She is also a jealous one. Jealous of those who may be more popular or smarter than her. And she doesn't like not being noticed.
She doesn't get noticed too often because she is quiet. Now she thinks that she is a boring, humourless person.
No one likes not being noticed except for the people who get attention but don't want it.
Doesn't anyone stop and realize how much attention they receive?
Do the people who have attention want it?
I mean, really, why don't some people get noticed? Especially when they're a good person.
Are they, say, "boring"?
No one should be thinking that way about people. Even though sometimes, I do.
...
But that's only when I don't like someone.
Everyone deserves some attention.
Be observant, make the quiet ones around you feel special.
Got that?

Anyways, Madeline is really, really smart. Compared to some people, she's a genius.
And she's interesting, if some people shut up and listen to her.

That is a dog filled with want.

Sorry.

Welp, I'm bored now.

Remember to not stop and hug your friends in the middle of the hallway.
...
Good night.
