Jealousy is a pretty strong emotion. It can drive some to insanity and it can drive some to kill. It stems from seeing someone perform an action you may do on a regular basis better than you think you do.
Did that make sense?
Anyways, hatred forms from jealousy. You see someone do something better than you, and it may unleash your competitive side, like "WHAT IS THAT THEY'RE DOING? ARE THEY DOING IT BETTER THAN ME? AH, THAT INFURIATES ME, I HAVE TO BE BETTER THAN THEM AT EVERYTHING!!"
Don't deny that you have a competitive side too. It's human nature. Back then, the only way humans could survive was by being skilled at hunting or... ... attracting people of the opposite gender. Is it weird to say that the human instinct to reproduce with the ideal mate forms jealousy?
I guess it is.
I'm going to have to elaborate on this more another time. I'm too busy fuming from orchestra.
Seriously, she is not a suitable leader for the violas.
